Stallholder Information and Conditions
General Information
Market Dates:
The Sunbury Community Market is held on the second Saturday of each month, with the exception of January.
Location:
Salvation Army, 27-37 Anderson Rd, Sunbury VIC 3429.
Trading Hours:
Market trading hours are 9:00am to 1:00pm..
Setting and Packing up Time:
Setting up is from 7:30am, sites will be held until 8.30am and then may be reallocated if the stallholder has not arrived.
Packing up time is from 1:00pm unless there is extenuating circumstances such as Extreme weather conditions or you have made arrangements with the Market Management.
Car Parking:
At the direction of the Market Officials.
Stall Fees (GST inclusive)
Indoor: $25.00 per site
Outdoor: $20.00
The Rotary club of Sunbury does not provide public liability insurance, you will need to supply your own, this ia a mandatory requirement.
Stall & sites are allocated at the Market Coordinator's discretion.
We do not supply or lease tents. We do supply tables and chairs for inside stallholders.
Rules & Regulations
- Only products listed and approved by the coordinator on the current application may be sold. If you wish to add new items to your stall, a request in writing must be approved by the Coordinator.
- Notification of non-attendance of stalls is required by phoning 0400 907 793.
- A refund will be paid providing the booking was reallocated. A request for a refund must be in writing within 14 days. The booking may be held over for a future market at the decretion of the Stallholder CoOrdinator.
- Stallholders are responsible for leaving their site and the surrounding area clean and tidy. Boxes, cartons and rubbish must be removed at the end of the day.
- Stallholders must confine their displays and signs to the stall site and keep aisles clear for patrons.
- Stallholders must not block exits.
- Stalls must not pack up before the advertised 2pm closing time unless arragements have been made
- It is the responsibility of the stallholder to trade in accordance with Market, State and Hume City Council regulations.
- Food stallholders must be registered with Streatrader and comply with all relevant food and food handling regulations and standards pertaining to local government.
- Stallholders using gas or electrical appliances must have a suitable fire extinguisher or fire blanket on site. Electrical leads must be tagged by qualified tester every 12 months. Generators may be used, but should be quiet.
- Generators, Gas Bottles and Appliances must be free of leaks.
- Gazebos and Tents must be weighted down with suitabe weights, ground pegs may be permitted on some sites.
- Loud product promotion is not permitted.
- Smoking is not permitted indoors.
- Stall holders must report any incident or accident that involves loss or could be expected to give rise to a future claim.
- The Village Market has zero tolerance for offensive or aggressive behaviour, any stall holder or visitor behaving in this manner will be asked to leave.
- Any disputes between stall holders or any issues that Stall holders may have must be addressed to a Rotarian on site for solution.
Market Management provide a First Aid Service at every market during market hours.
How to apply for a stall
- Stall Applications are to be submitted via Rotary Club of Sunbury web site online booking System.
- For your application to be processed quickly and smoothly, it is important to supply as much information as possible.
- Be sure to complete the application with all relevant information (Public liability insurance certificate,
- Streatrader certificate for food vendors) prior to submitting it.
- Food stalls only, your Streatrader certificate will need to be presented at your first market.
- The preferred payment method is by direct debit.
- Payment by cash etc on the Market Day can be done by arrangement.
- Filling in the application form does not guarantee an offer of a site.
