Each year the RC of Sunbury presents an award to the year 12 dux of the local secondary schools. The students are also presented with funds to assist them in their further education. These scholarships are named after the late Mr Ron Cook who was a member of the RC of Sunbury. The funds are taken from the Sports, Recreation and Education Foundation which was the brainchild of Ron.
